Frequency Specific Microcurrent

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (or FSM) is a non-invasive and painless, low-level electro-medical therapy. While Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) works by blocking the pain signals temporarily, FSM works on a whole different level.

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (or FSM) works on the principle of biologic resonance. Specific carrier frequencies with microcurrent improve the healing of muscles, discs, ligaments, tendon, fascia, and bone.

Each cell has an ideal specific resonant frequency. When your body experiences an injury, trauma, stress, or increased inflammation, the regular resonant frequency of that tissue changes, and we experience symptoms of pain or dysfunction in the body.

While being very useful for a wide variety of conditions, FSM has an excellent safety track record. It applies only about a thousandth of the current used in TENS. In other words, you cannot feel the current. The voltage of FSM is similar in strength to that produced by the cells.

The goal of Frequency Specific Microcurrent therapy is to return the tissue to its regular frequency. As your trained FSM chiropractor, I will help determine if Frequency Specific Microcurrent therapy is the right fit for your condition.

We recommend integrating FSM as part of your overall chiropractic therapy experience to give synergistic results with chiropractic cranial and spinal adjustments.

How Does FSM work for various conditions?
FSM has been found to accelerate healing by potentially increasing the production of the substance ATP in injured tissues by as much as 500%! While awaiting biopsy research on FSM therapy, clinicians frequently observe reduced painful trigger points and softening of scars.

FAQ for Frequency Specific Microcurrent

After your initial consultation, we will be able to design a treatment program for your condition. You will be lying on a treament table during the treatement. The doctor will place a moistened towel over the neck, back, knees, or feet to allow proper conduction of the current.

Although patients have had long term changes in one treatment, the average number of visits needed depends on the complexity of the problem.

I am glad you asked! After your medical doctor treats your injury, we use FSM to reduce swelling and healing period. Results are even better if treatment occurs within the first 4 hours of injury.

Drink at least 1 Liter of filtered water before and during the day or treatment.
Plan to stay between 30 to 60 minutes per visit.
Bring a change of clothes if you plan to go elsewhere as the moist towel will likely wet some portion of your clothing.
You can still use your mobile phones during the session. Many will take the opportunity for a quick nap.

There is no known risk. The side effects mentioned below are thought to be brought about by the body's way of removing long-stored waste products, similar to the side effects of massage.
Though RARE, side effects can last for 4 to 24 hours, and can include:
•Fatigue
•Nausea
•Drowsiness
•Occasionally an increase in pain
•Euphoric feeling due to the increased endorphins

Although most patients can experience improvements in 1-2 visits, we recommend 6 treatment sessions for most conditions. Care Plan or Packages pricing also applies for Frequency Specific Microcurrent therapy. The price is the same as a chiropractic treatment. There is also $2 charge for towels per session.
